Devotional Ministry: Be a Modern-Day Tyndale
Submit a Devotional for Advent or Lent Deadline October 31
On October 6 of the Episcopal Church Lectionary Calendar, we recognize William Tyndale, a 16th Century British priest … and much more. He drew directly from Hebrew and Greek texts to translate much of the Bible into English and took advantage of then state-of-the-art technology—the printing press. The Devotional Committee hopes that, over the next few weeks and before the October 31 Advent deadline, you will fancy yourself as a modern-day Tyndale and help spread God’s word, as it speaks to you, by submitting a devotional. (No knowledge of Hebrew, Greek, or state-of-the-art technology required.)
