Services

Whether you live in Atlanta, are visiting the city, or are participating in services online, Sunday worship is the center of our life together at St. Luke’s.

Each week, we gather to hear Scripture, offer prayer, sing, confess, share the peace of Christ, and come to the table for Holy Communion. The Eucharist—also called Communion or the Lord’s Supper—is the heart of our worship. In this sacred meal, we remember Christ’s life, death, and resurrection; receive the grace and presence of God; and are formed again as Christ’s body in the world.

Worship does not end when the service is over.

Nourished by Scripture, prayer, music, and Communion, we are sent back into the world strengthened to love God and serve our neighbors with compassion and courage.

Sunday Services

8 a.m. | Holy Eucharist (Rite I)

A spoken service using the language of Rite I from the Book of Common Prayer. This quiet and reflective service includes a sermon and Holy Communion.

9 a.m. | Holy Eucharist

A service with music and congregational singing. During this service, children are invited to take part in Children’s Chapel, a time of prayer and formation designed especially for younger worshipers.

11:15 a.m. | Holy Eucharist

A full choral service with the Adult Choir and robust congregational singing. This service includes a sermon and Holy Communion and is also livestreamed for those participating online.

4 p.m. | Choral Evensong (monthly)

Choral Evensong is a contemplative service of prayer and music, typically offered on the third Sunday of the month. Rooted in the Anglican tradition, Evensong invites us into Scripture, song, silence, and prayer at the close of the day.

Summer Sundays

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, St. Luke’s worships at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Nursery care

Nursery care is available during the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services for children age 4 and under, though children of all ages are always welcome in worship.

Holy Days & other Observances

Throughout the year, St. Luke’s gathers for the great feasts and holy days of the Church, including Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter Day, Pentecost, All Saints’ Day, and Christmas. On these days, we offer special services and additional liturgies that invite us more deeply into the story of Christ and the worshiping life of the Church.

Please check the parish calendar or in the weekly announcements, or call the church office at 404-870-6000 for the most up-to-date worship schedule.
