Serve at the Thanksgiving Meals for Crossroads and Holy Comforter | November 25
Wednesday, November 25 | 10 a.m. | Budd Hall
St. Luke's is offering a ministry of hospitality this Thanksgiving for Crossroads and Holy Comforter, and we could use your help. On the day before Thanksgiving, we will come together in Budd Hall with our friends at Crossroads to serve a Thanksgiving meal to our neighbors who might otherwise not have a Thanksgiving meal this year. It will include a "Dinner Church" style liturgy, allowing us to pray, sing, and eat with those who rely on Crossroads for support and services.
The meal for Crossroads will be served from 10 a.m. to Noon in Budd Hall, with a brief service around the tables at the beginning. The Thanksgiving meal for Holy Comforter will be at Holy Comforter later in the afternoon.
We will need your help in preparation and serving for both meals.
Both ministries are an act of celebration and sacramental community that we feel is true to our theology of the Eucharist, where everyone is welcome as One around Jesus' life-giving table. We hope you can join us and help support these two sacred Thanksgiving meals.
If you would like to contribute to the meal by providing supplies or food, use the link below and select "Thanksgiving Meal" as the fund.
